Kaye H. (Christopher) Magyaros, 81, of Salem, Ohio, passed away at her home on Monday, April 8, 2024.
She was born September 29, 1942, in Canton, Ohio, daughter of the late Russell and Georgia (Hill) Christopher.
Kaye graduated from United Local in 1960 and was a lifelong resident of the area. She grew up as a member of the Presbyterian Church in Hanoverton, she later attended St. Paul’s and most recently went back to the Presbyterian ways. Kaye had a passion for beauty and cosmetics and worked at the perfume counter at Dillard’s in Boardman and was a beautician at various hair salons in Salem. You could find Kaye watching the birds in her yard or tending to her plants inside and outside of her house. She was a huge fan of The Andy Griffith Show, enjoyed watching cooking shows, and had a real sweet tooth for ice cream. Kaye had a knack at being thrifty, finding good deals bargain shopping and at garage sales. Kaye was artistic and loved to paint, draw, knit, and make jewelry. She stayed in touch with family, friends, and loved ones by writing letters or making cards to send out.
She is survived by her children; Barry (Debbie) Magyaros, Melissa (Michael) Chmura, Bob Magyaros, and Melody (Mark) Franken, grandchildren; Chris, Jaimee, Ali, Mac, and Piper Magyaros, Bryce (Lauren) Franken, and Chase Franken, great-grandchildren Theo and Scarlett Franken, John Magyaros, father of her children, 3 cousins, especially Jannie who was like a sister, several dear friends and Bessie the beloved dog.
Services will be Friday, April 12, 2024, 11:30 AM, at the Arbaugh-Pearce-Greenisen & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services, Salem. The Fr. Robert Edwards will be officiating and the burial will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery in Leetonia. The time of visitation will be from 10-11:30 AM Friday.
