Barbara Jean (Koehler) Palusak 83, of Columbiana, died at 3:27 PM Monday, December 23, 2024, at her home.

She was born on July 13, 1941, in Youngstown, the daughter of the late Charles and Martha (Best) Koehler.

She was a 1959 graduate of Wilson High School. Barbara was a reader of good books. Her love of reading found her being the Chairman of the Columbiana Public Library /Friends of the Library program. She also assisted her husband with things for the historical society. The love of history found them traveling and visiting many places.

She and her husband enjoyed attended Broadway style plays in Midland, Pa. And some in New York. It was not uncommon to find her listening to classical music and other songs with the use of harps.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Andrew Joseph Palusak, daughter: Vikki Shaffer and her children: Alexander (Annie Marie) Shaffer and Tina (Jesse) Bolinger, a son: Derek A. Palusak.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother Gordon Koehler.
