Barbara Joanne (Weingart) Walker 65, of Salem, unexpectedly fell asleep in the Lord at her home on Friday, August 1, 2025.

She was born on June 12, 1960, in Salem, Ohio, the daughter of the late Vernon R. and Geraldine B. (Hively) Weingart.

She was a graduate of West Branch Local class of 1978. The most memorable year to her was in 1982, when she both graduated from the University of Akron and married her loving husband, Daniel (Dan) J. Walker of 43 years. She taught at the Joint Vocational School in Lisbon, Ohio for two years before returning to her West Branch roots to continue teaching for another 28 years before retiring. She then kept herself busy by working at Rivers Bend Farm, gardening, playing wordscapes, spending time with her husband, and doing things with and for her grandkids. She also enjoyed collecting miniatures and decorating for seasons and holidays. She has been a member of the Paris Avenue Christadelphian Ecclesia in Louisville, Ohio for the past 33 years.

In addition to her husband Dan, she is survived by her daughters, Aubrey (Scott) Scheiner of Lisbon and Danielle (Michael) Cooper of Salem and her son Jarred Walker of Lorain. Grandchildren; Mason and Lainey Scheiner and Landon, Caleb, and Noah Cooper. Her brother David (Lana) Weingart of Canfield and her sister Becky (Jeff) Wuthrick of Alliance, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be held on Tuesday, August 12, 2025 at 11:30 AM, at the Paris Avenue Christadelphian Ecclesia, 9160 Paris Avenue NE, Louisville, Ohio 44641.  A time of visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 PM Monday, August 11, 2025, at the Arbaugh-Pearce-Greenisen & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services, Salem, Ohio, and 10:30-11:30 Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at the Paris Avenue Christadelphian Ecclesia. The burial will be in the Highland Memorial Park, Beloit, Ohio.
