Obituary

Betty Louise (Albright) Hanzlick 105, of Chapin, South Carolina, (formerly of Salem), passed away at 6:21 PM on Thursday, June 26, 2025, at the Heritage at Lowman.

She was born on May 11, 1920, in Salem, the daughter of the late Harry and Carrie (Hise) Albright.

Betty was a 1938 graduate of Salem High School, and attended the Miami University. She worked at the Crane Deming Pump Company and was a secretary and expediter. Betty was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Salem, and a member of the United Methodist Women, the Fadely Guild and Fellowship Club, the Church Women United, a member of the choir for over 50 years and served on the Administration Board. She was a former member of the Deming Girls Club.

She is survived by her daughter-in-law Mary Hanzlick, of Chapin, South Carolina, four grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death in 1984 by her husband, Walter J. Hanzlick, whom she married August 16, 1945, her son Dr. Randy Lee Hanzlick in 2021 and her brother Richard C. Albright.

There are no services planned at this time. Burial will be at Hope Cemetery, Salem, Ohio.

Arrangements were by Arbaugh-Pearce-Greenisen & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services, Salem.
