Obituary

Betty Jean (Wolford) Bush 80, of Salem and Lakeland, Fla., (formerly of Greenford) died early Thursday morning at Wedgewood Health Care Center in Lakeland. She was born on March 16, 1934 in Salem, daughter of the late John M. and Elsie (Mullett) Wolford. She was a resident of the Greenford/Salem area all her life. She lived on Middletown Road, Greenford for 40 years. A graduate of Greenford High School in 1952, and a active member of the Greenford Lutheran Church. She and Raymond have lived a very active life and made sure others were receiving the love and care they needed. They were foster parents for over 25 years, raising 30 foster children. They also owned and operated three restaurants, Ye Olde Coffee Cup, Bush Family Restaurant and the Patio Restaurant in the area. Betty also worked as a seamstress at Peggy's Bridal in Greenford. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Raymond LeRoy Bush whom she married June 12, 1955, their children, Constance Marie Bush of Erie, Pa., Steven Arthur (Jeanette) Bush of Urbana, Ohio, Timothy Ray (Julia) Bush of Henderson, NV., and Nicholas Noah (Nicole) Bush of Chagrin Falls, Ohio, siblings, Richard (Marian) Wolford of Salem, Shirley Valadez of Salem, Glenn Wolford of Canfield, Margaret (Tom) Menning of Salem, Virginia (Gary) Slaven of Salem, and eight grandchildren, Clayton Kellner, Christopher Fisher, Kelly and Ian Bush, Korina and Elise Bush, Jordan Kriegel and Henry Bush. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a daughter Tamara Sue Bush and a brother Leonard Wolford who both died in infancy. A time of visitation will be held on Thursday from 6-8 PM at the Arbaugh-Pearce-Greenisen & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services, Salem. The funeral services will be on Friday at 11 AM at the Greenford Lutheran Church with the Rev. Bill Wilkens officiating. The burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery in Greenford.
