Betty Ellen (Custer) Johnson 84, of Salem Twp., Salem, died at 11:54 AM Friday, June 17, 2022, at her home.

She was born on October 10, 1937 in Salineville, Ohio, the daughter of the late Roy and Theodora Elma (Shasteen) Custer.

Betty was a very simple lady, enjoyed working around the house. The outside of the house was always beautiful with all her flowers. The inside of her home was truly tastefully decorated with things she liked. Betty was into to doing crafts and was well known for operating her "Doll Hospital". She liked to travel around looking and purchasing antiques to add to the collection. The one thing that truly brought her joy in her life was being with the family and all the grand kid.

She is survived by her children; Donna (Harry) Nobbs, Steve (Christy) Johnson and Wayne (Marcy) Johnson all of Salem, four grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, brothers James (Joyce) Custer of Hanoverton, Paul (Connie) Custer of Salineville and Wendell Custer of Salem, a sister D. Jane Lovett of Salineville.

She was preceded in death on June 13, 2017, by her husband, G. Edward Johnson whom she married on June 2, 1955, and siblings; Donald, Roy Jr. and Chuck Custer, Doris Worner, Evelyn Toland and Virginia Custer.

It was Betty's wishes to have no public services or viewing.
