IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Carol
Hively
August 2, 1950 – October 21, 2021
Carol Louise (Ware) Hively 71, of Salem, passed away at 7:37 PM Thursday, October 21, 2021, in the emergency room of Salem Regional Medical Center.
She was born on August 2, 1950, in Salem, the daughter of the late Robert Lloyd and Lucy Marie (Givens) Ware. Carol was a 1968 graduate of Salem High School was a former Housekeeper/Maid at the Salem Community Hospital.
Carol was quite a person over the years. She was always on the go and popping in and out of places. She was a "frequent flier" at Pop Jackson's Restaurant, one of her many spots to get coffee. Carol did have a good "Green thumb" when it came to gardening and she enjoyed canning vegetables for family to enjoy. The proudest point in her life was when she became a grandmother and she took full advantage of being one. She made blankets and clothing for all of them over the years, as well costumes and crocheted items. She enjoyed baking cookies and pies with the grand kids for the holidays along with preparing the holiday meals with her son and daughter. It was also comforting to her that she was able to care for her Mother in her latter years of life. Carol also enjoyed playing bingo and crafting with her friends and extended family at Auburn.
She is survived by her children; Larry (Tammy) Hively II of N. Georgetown and Melody (Jay) Dennick of Poland, eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Luna Madelle Breault.
A time of visitation to Celebrate the life of Carol will be on November 7th, 2-4 PM at the Arbaugh-Pearce-Greenisen & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services, Salem. There will be a gathering following the visitation at the Salem AmVets on South Broadway.
The family would like to thank all the staff, management, and doctors at Auburn Nursing and Rehab. Center in Damascus. Your Love, Care and Compassion will never be forgotten.
