Carol (Bilsky) McFarland 78, of Salem, died at 11:35 AM Saturday at Salem Community Hospital following a lengthy illness. She was born on January 18, 1935 in Leetonia, the daughter of the late Harold F. and Helen J. (Nelson) Bilsky. She was a homemaker and attended the Highland Christian Church. She is survived by her husband, Martin McFarland whom she married on November 8, 1952, her children, Helen (Gilbert) Cannon of Fla., Viola (Ronald) Jennings of Salem, and James (Betty) McFarland of Salem, siblings, Harold Bilsky of Dalton, and Patricia Ingledue of Pa., numerous grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Edward McFarland in 2006, and a brother Robert Bilsky. Services will be held at a later date, and the burial is to be in Oakdale Cemetery, Leetonia, Ohio.
