Charlene (Barnes) McGuire 82, of (Patmos, Goshen Twp.) Salem died at 1:35 AM on Monday, December 16, 2024, at her home with family surrounding her.

She was born on October 4, 1942, in Ellsworth Township, Mahoning County, Ohio, the daughter of the late Albert K. and Lena M. (Kegg) Barnes.

She was a 1960 graduate of Western Reserve High School and a former member of the Salem First Christian Church. Charlene was always busy doing craft projects, following the Cleveland Caves, watching movies, and being interested in what was happening with the family.

Her children survive her: Barbara A. (Steve) Cronin, Martin J. McGuire, Marcy J. McGuire, and Jason L. McGuire, sisters: Betty M. Hull and Norita A. McGuire, Thirteen grandchildren: John, Josh, Jordan, Abbie, Aaron, Amber, Kassie, Charlene "CK", Sean, Zachery, Jamie, Hope and Dan, fifteen great-grandchildren: Annabelle, Ava, Ember, Emilie, Allie, Wylie, Emerald, Theo, Violet, Eli, Noel, Luna, Bellona, Achilles and Oliver and sisters-in-law: Joyce Barnes and Georgina Barnes.

Charlene was preceded in death by her husband Ralph B. McGuire in 2005, Children: Daniel R. in 1998 and John K. in 2018, siblings: James A., Edward L., Lee R., Raymond R. Barnes, and Barbara J. Bates.

A Celebration of Life Gathering will be from 4-7 PM on Thursday, December 19, 2024, at the Arbaugh-Pearce-Greenisen & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services, Salem. She will be laid to rest on the family plot in Ellsworth Cemetery.
