Cookie (Mildred Louise) Oesch 72, of Columbiana, formerly of E. Palestine and New Waterford died at 6:49 AM Wednesday at Salem Community Hospital. She was born on July 3, 1940 in Salem to the late Louis and Kathryn (Nuzum) Rubich. She was a home maker and a member of Grace Lutheran Church in E. Palestine. She was a past president of the George F. Mc Bane American Legion Aux. Post # 31 in E. Palestine. She was one who liked to cook and bake, an avid Bingo player, spent time doing crafts and had her own special way of dressing. She is survived by her sons, Norman (wife Bessie) Oesch of E. Liverpool, Douglas Oesch of Toledo, Clarence Oesch of Lisbon and Timothy (wife Beverly) Oesch of N. Carolina, sister Margie Buckoski of Salem, and 14 grandchildren, Shawn Yarian, Jennifer Oesch, Mandy Oesch, Dathan Arter, Megan Oesch, Bradley Oesch, Michael Oesch, Jordan Oesch, Aarianna Oesch, Deshawn Currie, Breanna Currie, Dominic Woodrift, Justin Oesch and Alyssa Oesch She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Norman Oesch Sr., sister Violet Cohn, brothers John and Roy. Services will be on Tuesday, 11 AM at thr Arbaugh-Pearce-Greenisen Funeral Home with the Rev. Kari Lankford officiating. The burial will be in Grandview Cemetery, Salem. A time of visitation will be on Monday from 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home.
