Craig Charles Gainor 63, of Salem (Formerly of Alliance) died at 1:22 AM Tuesday at Salem Community Hospital. He was born on August 12, 1948 in Alliance to Hilda (Gockel) Gainor and the late Charles Gainor. Craig graduated from Alliance High School and attended Kent State University. He had worked in the Salem area as a produce Manager at the former Kroger Store, then a car salesman at Greenwood Chevy in Courtland, an independent distributor for Ecoquest International, a sales manager for Current Energy in Salem and currently was the Vice President of Newtec Corp. here in Salem. He was an avid sports fan, and followed all the teams from the Cleveland, Ohio area and the Ohio State Buckeyes. He enjoyed to go golfing and bowling in his spare time. Craig is survived by his mother of Alliance, his wife, the former Penny Ann Smith whom he married on August 21, 1993, His sons who he was real proud of, Kyle Wayne (wife Susie) Gainor of Salem, Kirk Charles (wife Monica) Gainor of Winamac, IN., his step children, Chris (Wife Theresa) Callisto of St. Louis, MO., and Sara (Husband Daniel) Martincic of Louisville, his siblings, Scott Gainor of Daytona Beach, Fla., Todd (wife Marian) Gainor of Alliance and Anna Marie Gainor of Orlando, Fla., his grandchildren who affectionately will remember "Grandpa Cookie", Samantha and Lacie Gainor, and his step grandchildren, Donivin, Dylan, Chloe, Julie, Mason, Tyler and Karsten. A time of visitation for family and friends will be on Friday, July 20, 2012, from 5 to 8 Pm at the Arbaugh-Pearce-Greenisen Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 8 Pm with the Rev.
