Obituary

Cynthia Louise Chestnut 50, of Columbiana, died at her home early Monday morning. She was born on June 10, 1964 in Salem, the daughter of Patrick Michael and Gloria June (Klemann) Chestnut. She is currently a assistant Manager at the Wal Mart Store in Calcutta where she has worked for the last 5 years. She had formerly served as a 911 operator for the Tampa (Fla) Police Department and Salem Police Department, Stark County Sheriff Corrections Officer and operator and a truck driver for US Express. Cindy was a member of the East Palestine Eagles and was active in the fund raising for the Children's Miracle Network thru Wal Mart. She loved her music and singing, enjoyed working with animals and skunk rescues. She was a big fan of the Cleveland Indians and the Browns. Cindy loved children and enjoyed being with them. In addition to her parents of Columbiana, she is survived by her husband Brian Patrick Smith, a daughter, Sherri Marie (James) Trenkelbach-Patti of St. James, NY., siblings, April Lynn Chestnut of Columbiana, Patrick Lee (Kimberly) Chestnut of Middleburg, Fla., and Robert James (Candice) Chestnut of New Waterford. Services will be on Friday, 8 PM at the Arbaugh-Pearce-Greenisen & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services, Salem. A time of visitation will be held from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
