Dana Lee Bolen 61, of Salem, died at 9:25 AM Tuesday at Essex of Salem # 2 following a lengthy illness. He was born on September 7, 1954 in Alliance, Ohio, the son of the Harry J. and Evelyn M. (Shepherd) Bolen. Dana was very well known as a local insurance agent with Prudential Life Ins., American General Life Ins. And Western & Southern Life Ins. For nearly 30 years. He most recently was serving as a property manager of Woodgate North in Ravenna for the SIMCO Corporation. He was a member of the Greenford Christian Church. Dana was a wonderful musician and enjoyed to play his drums. He shared his love of music as he played with various area bands. Dana's family was important to him as he shared times over darts, a game of pool, taking pictures and just plain visiting together. He did enjoy Golf, old music, watching TV, movies and all the Harry Potter collection. He is survived by his wife, the former Wanda Lou Morrow whom he married on April 28, 1994, his children, Justin Bolen of Cuyahoga Falls, Sheneil (Jay) Jones of Knoxville, Tenn., Tina (Mark) Cunningham of Lisbon and Lisa (Charles McMasters) Mannion of Alliance, his grandchildren, Madeline Jones, Austin Myers, Mark Cunningham III, Aaron Mannion, Isaac and Josh McMasters. He was preceded in death by his mother on August 22, 2015 and his father on July 17, 1999. A Celebration of Life Service will be observed on Tuesday, 11 AM at the Greenford Christian Church, Bruce Rhodes of the church will be officiating the services. A time of visitation will be observed on Monday from 6 to 8 PM at the Arbaugh-Pearce-Greenisen & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services, Salem, and from 10 to 11 AM Tuesday at the church.
