Daniel E. Prather 70, of Salem, (formerly of Lodi) died at his home early Wednesday Morning, May 31, 2017.

He was born in Akron, Oh on June 7, 1946, the son of Freda H. Sommers Prather.

He was a retired certified welder.

He is survived by his care giver, friend, and soulmate, Gloria Prather, daughter Heidi D. (Shawn) Dunn of Salineville, three grandchildren, Shawn, Kyle and Stephanie Dunn, three great grandchildren, Audrina and Eliot Dunn and Wyatt Geslak, siblings, Betty J. (Thomas) VanHorn, Salem, Ben H. (Debbie) Prather, Lisbon and Patricia L. Prather Salem.

In addition to his mother, he is preceded in death by two sisters, Lola A Hiner and Margaret E. (Libby) Prather.
