David J. Bauman 56, of Damascus, died at 9:16 AM Saturday, July 13 at Aultman Hospital following an intracranial Hemorrhage. He was born on February 24, 1957 in Salem, the son of William and Norma Jean (Spears) Bauman Jr. He was a 1975 Graduate of West Branch High School, and the Salem School of Trades. He was a machinist at Circle Machine for 36 years and most recently was a car salesman with Stratton Chevrolet, And a member of the Damascus Methodist Church. He loved old cars and the real good muscle cars. He was proud of the red 1969 Camero that he restored and his black 1972 Monte Carlo. He also enjoyed restoring old houses. In addition to his mother of Copeland Oaks, Sebring, is his wife, the former Belinda Lee Hillyer whom he married on August 15, 1981, his daughters, Bergen Lee and Brinley Ann Bauman both of Damascus, a brother William Lee (Rhonda) Bauman of Salem. Services will be held on Wednesday, July 17 at 11 AM at the Damascus Methodist Church with the Pastor Bob Amey officiating. The burial will follow in the Damascus Cemetery. A time of Visitation will be observed one hour prior to the services at the church on Valley Road in Damascus. The family has requested that memorial contributions to be made to the West Branch Band Boosters or the building fund of the Damascus Methodist Church.
