David Eugene Burson 80, of Rogers, Oh., passed away at his home from a lengthy illness on Sunday morning, 7:15 AM, September 6, 2015. He was born on November 3, 1934 in New Waterford, Ohio, the son of the late Samuel Kyle and Rebecca Anne (Dickey) Burson. He was a truck driver and worked for numerous companies with the most recent being High Hope Potato Farm in Rogers and Trailer America in Columbiana. He was a member of the Lake Mount Church of Christ, Eagles Aries # 2415 of New Waterford, a life member of the Middletown Township Fish and Game Club and was apart of the original Rogers Fire Department. He enjoyed the outdoors and spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, the former Sara Ann Heaton whom he married right after she graduated June 1, 1957. In addition, he is survived by his daughter, Carla Sue Kaufman of New Waterford, his six grandchildren, Joshua (fiancé' Brandi Fox) Kaufman of Lisbon, Sara (fiancé' Ben Schreckengost) Kaufman of Lower Burrell, Pa., Elijah Kaufman of Rogers, Oh., Rachel Kaufman of New Waterford, Oh., Jeremiah Kaufman of East Palestine, Oh., and Julia Kaufman of New Waterford, Oh., two sisters, Ida mae Kale of Rogers, Oh., and Helen (Charles) Scott of Beaver Falls, Oh., and his beloved buddy George the Rooster. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Dorothy Morris and Thelma Clark, a brother Richard Burson. The family is honoring the wishes of David and there will be no calling hours. A private burial for the family will take place at Crest Haven Memorial Gardens on Route 7 in Rogers. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of the Arbaugh-Pearce-Greenisen & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services, Salem.
