David was a building contractor by trade in the Salem community for nearly 40 years. He and his partner, Al Sevachko owned and operated Huffman and Sevachko Builders.He is survived by his daughter, Kathleen (Timothy)Weingart of Salem, his grandsons, Dr Jason (Caroline) Weingart of Lancaster, OH, Darren Weingart of Bluffton, SC, Garrett (Olivia) Hack of Alliance, OH, his great-grandson, Jack Daniel Weingart, and his sister, Bernice McCartney of Salem In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death on April 21, 2015, by the love of his life, the former Patricia Katherine Harvey, whom he married on December 8, 1951, his daughter, Gail Hack and his brother, Paul Huffman. The family would like to thank the staff of St. Mary's Alzheimer's Center for the wonderful care they provided David during the time he spent there.
