IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Dawna M
(Stiver) (Fka Muntz) Cross
February 20, 1944 – May 1, 2023
Dawna M. (Stiver) Muntz Cross 79, of Salem, died at 12:15 AM, May 1, 2023 at Copeland Oaks in Sebring.
She was born on February 20, 1944, in Youngstown, Ohio, the daughter of the late Raymond and Doris (Fair) Stiver.
Dawna was quite a unique and special person. When she was made, they broke the mold, and no others have been found like her. The one thing that was just her, she had a blunt way about saying what she thought. She was a true mother, loved to cook, put on full family meals (the old way) A true hostess for entertaining, very generous, caring person, always wanting to have fun, often found having a block party or playing a good game of cards (Eucker, Hearts, Spades, Spoons and Shanghai). Dawna was once involved with the musical band "Package Deal", while her husband was the bass player. In her spare time she could be found out with the dogs and often welcoming in strays when she could. In her younger years, she would spend her days baby sitting and keeping up with all the school and sporting events of the family.
She had been a member of the Winona Methodist Church and currently with the Damascus Friends Church. When she was able, she served on the worship team, helped with the music and church dinners at the churches. Another one of her fun things to do was attend the Red Hat Society meetings.
She is survived by her daughters; Kristeen (David Jr) Furcolow of Alliance and Kimberly (Mark Harhager) Rimmele of N. Canton, grandchildren; Will (Amanda) and Branden Grindle, Trevor and Tylar Rimmele, Mark (Lauren) Harhager and Val (Brent) Mckenzie, great grandchildren; Nick Grindle, Isabelle Copeland, AJ Grindle, Ivory Grindle and Luke Harhager.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands Larry D. Muntz and Larry G. Cross.
