Obituary

Deborah Jane "Deb" (Franks) Charnesky 64, went home Wednesday evening to be with her Lord and Father from her home in Salem, following a brief battle against cancer. She was born on December 30, 1952 in Salem to Patricia (Thompson) Franks and the late Richard Franks. She was a member of the Crossroad Ministries on North Ellsworth Avenue, taught Sunday school, a member of the Friday night group and became an active part of the church family that she so dearly loved. Deb retired in 2015 after working over 30 years at Ventura Plastics plant in Salem. After she retired, she worked for the Quaker Day Care as a preschool teacher. She loved children in such a big way, she also cared for many in her own home. She dearly loved her grand children and enjoyed watching them as the participated in sporting events. She is survived by her loving daughter, Ashlee (Jason) Perkins of Columbiana, her precious grandchildren, AJ and Cameron Perkins, her siblings, Stacy (Ed) Duber of Canton, Shane Franks of Salem, and Toby (Valarie) Franks of Louisville and her uncle Barney Franks of Salem. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on March 11 at 11:00 am at the Crossroad Church with the Pastor Freddie Rodriguez officiating. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Community Hospice and all the folks who sent food, flowers, cards and prayers during Deb's illness. The family has requested that memorial contributions to be made in Deb's memory to the Crossroad Ministries, 1909 North Ellsworth Avenue, Salem, Ohio 44460.
