IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Debra "Deby"
Dawn Earl
February 26, 1956 – August 22, 2024
In Loving Memory Of Deby Earl 1956-2024 Mother, Nana, Sister, Aunt, Friend Deby passed away in her home August 22nd, 2024. Those who knew her knew she marched to the beat of her own drum and those that loved her didn't mind, not much anyway. She was a creative, artistic soul who enjoyed creating things for the people she loved. She prided herself on her attention to detail and quality in everything she created. She had strong opinions and "language" which she was typically unapologetic about, much to the chagrin of her loved ones. This was true especially as it related to human rights and just being a morally good human who cares about sticking to facts. She loved children and often shared pictures of her friends' children with family. When Silas, Skyler, Kiersten, and Christian were little, she enjoyed enhancing their "Forest" with decorations to create a magical place for them with giant ants and hanging decorations. She was a Wiccan and loved all things related to nature. She could often be found attempting to "train" the squirrels with peanuts and hazelnuts. She was always trying to get people to grab her a piece of bark with fungus growing on it or a knarly looking stick (even though those people often refused). "Princess" and "Susie" a few dogs who lived in her building, became some of her favorites. She once sold a car to buy a rescue cat named Sassy....who became one of the best companions she ever had and the source of much laughter and bewilderment over her follies. She loved her grandkitties too. She was a graduate of Salem High School, and later, Youngstown State University where she was a member of the JAFOs (IYKYK), she stayed in contact or reconnected with these friends who she loved and spoke of as if they were family because they were the family she chose along with her other close friends. She was preceeded in death by her loving parents, Saundra and Ernest Earl, as well as four siblings Robyn, Shawn, Scott, and Shane. She is survived by her daughter; Deirdre Earl Sadler, son in law; Shawn Sadler, grandson; Silas Sadler, two siblings; Dawna and Michael, nieces and nephews; Heather, Damien (Kourtney) , Andy, Kim, Abrahm and Skyler, many sister in laws (both past and present, all of whom she considered family); Gigi, Diana, and Maria, and finally, a great niece; Kaylee. She had much family but, spent most of her time with her daughter (who she had the honor of giving away at her wedding), son in law, sister, and her grandson. Though anyone could tell you that her son in law ,Shawn, was her favorite because he promised to slip her Snickers in the nursing home one day. She loved dinner's at the Green Marble with the crew, Sandy's desserts at Mike's Penn Grill, and a chance for a latte at LiBs Market with family. She truly was the proudest of Silas, who she loved with all of her heart. She was an emotional person, who struggled with mental health, who saw the world differently than most. She survived many traumatic experiences throughout her life, dubbing her "the cockroach" by those that loved her most, as we were sure she would outlast us all. She embraced this nickname and rolled with it as only Deby would. Deby was loved, more than she ever knew. She will be missed dearly by the friends and family who knew her the best. May she rest peacefully and flourish as a new life, a part of the natural world...continuing on for eternity with no pain, just life. Blessed Be Mom ❤️ Arrangements are being handled by Arbaugh-Pearce-Greenisen & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services of Salem. There will be no calling hours or services as per Deby's wishes. Her family will meet for a celebration of life.
