Denise Leora Burton 51, formerly of Salem, died at 10:45 AM Friday at her residence in Lisbon. She was born on October 25, 1962 in Salem, the daughter of the late C. Bruce and Carol Jean (Dotson) Burton. She had lived in Salem until a month ago when she moved to Lisbon. She was employed at various places in the area. She served as a cook and bar tender at the Ivy Stone and Night Court in Lisbon as well as the Steel Trolley. A press operator at Envelope One and a dock worker at the Morning Journal. She is survived by her siblings, Tamie (Richard) Burton-Milhoan with whom she made her home in Lisbon, Connie Burton-Dattilio of Columbiana, Richie Lee (Greta) Burton of Lisbon, Melissa Jean (John) Burton-Rankin of Lisbon, Brad Allen (Jennifer) Burton of Summitville, and Joshua James (Jill) Burton of New Waterford, Step Mother Mary Ann (Belaney) Burton of Salineville, sister-in-law Sherri Burton of Salineville, several nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, she is preceded in death by a brother Ricky Bruce Burton. A Celebration of Life Services is being planned, and will be announced in the near future.
