Dennis J. Cross 54, of Damascus, died at 6:18 PM Saturday, March 9 in the emergency room of Salem Regional Medical Center of an apparent heart attack.

He was born on February 16, 1965 in Salem, OH, the son of the late Joseph M. (Jo Jo) and Elsie E. (Greenawalt) Cross.

Dennis was quite a person, but life was never boring when he was around. If there was a family gathering going on, everyone knew Dennis was there. He was the life of the party. There are many family and friends that have been on the receiving end of his jokes over the years. Dennis loved to go visit flea markets, auctions, street fairs and Rogers sale. There were the special times that the family would gather for a good Wednesday night card game, he would be there. Dennis also liked to mess with four wheelers, ride bicycle on the trails, hunting, and play quarter machines. There were those times when he could be down right stubborn, then be ready to go find a good buffet restaurant. He made many friends over the years from his 1983 graduating class of Leetonia High School and the Leetonia American Legion.

He is survived by his siblings, Nancy L. Tevogh of Leetonia, Debra Greiner of Hermitage, PA., Diana (Mark) Reynolds of Salem, Connie Poffenberger of Poland, Jeffery D. (Eva) Cross of Salem and Randy S. Cross of Leetonia.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings Joseph, Michael and Mark Cross.

The services for Dennis will be held at a later date.
