Dennis Lee Hendricks 69 of Salem, died early Wednesday morning at Salem Regional Medical Center. He was born on January 25, 1947 in Dayton, Ohio, the son of the late George C. and Rosa (Lowman) Hendricks. Dennis was very well known in the Salem area as the store manager of the Salem Radio Shack, as well as area stores. He was last employed and retired from Sprint PCS.. He was also a veteran of the of the United States Air Force and was stationed in England. He was Catholic by faith and was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church. Dennis was a very hard working person and was dedicated to his customers. When he was not working, he enjoyed golfing, playing cards, photography, camping, traveling, and following the Cleveland Browns. He and Barbara spent the winters in Winter Garden, Fla., and he dearly loved to play a good game of Petanque.. He is survived by his wife, the former Barbara Joan Boone whom he married on November 12, 1966, his children, Brian Matthew (Beth) Hendricks of Willowick, Oh., Keith Gabriel (Julia) Hendricks of Carnegi, Pa., Laura Denise Hendricks of Alliance and Craig Stephen (Cynthia) Hendricks of Canton, ten grandchildren, Denise (that was more like a daughter to Dennis), Trent, Paige, Victor, Josiette, Alyssa, Noah, Charlotte, Audrey and an additional grandchild that will soon be born, a brother Gary L. (Jodi) Hendricks of Dayton, Aunt Sara Lowman of Blanchester, Oh. And Uncle Norman Hendricks of Dayton, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Ronald Hendricks, Susan Hendricks and twins Keith and Kevin Hendricks. A time of visitation will be held on Monday from 9:30 to 11:30 AM at the Arbaugh-Pearce-Greenisen & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services, Salem. Services will start at 11:30 AM at the funeral home and be followed by a 12 noon Mass at St. Paul's Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Robert Edwards serving as the Celebrant. The Salem Honor Guard will be providing the military honors. The burial will be in the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Seville, Ohio at a later date. Arrangements were entrusted to the directors of the Arbaugh-Pearce-Greenisen & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services, Salem.
A time of visitation will be held on Monday from 9:30 to 11:30 AM. Services will begin at 11:30 with the Celebrant, Rev. Fr. Robert Edwards. That will be followed by a 12 Noon Mass at Salem St. Paul's catholic Church.
