Donald G. Custer Sr. 70, of Perry Twp., Salem, died at 4:05 AM Tuesday at Salem Regional Medical Center. He was born on June 19, 1948 in Leetonia, the son of the late Roy and Theadora A. (Shasteen) Custer. He was co-owner operator with his son of Don's Auto Repair on Millville Hill. His love and passion in life was wrenching on cars, Harley Davidson motorcycles, guns, archery, hunting, fishing and family. Don loved to go to the car shows, gun shows and swap meets. If the weather permitted, he could be found out for a good ride with his buddies. He is survived by his children, Shannon Marie (Charles Phillips) Custer of Canfield, Donald Glen (Tina Schultz) Custer Jr of Salem, Matthew Scott (Marilyn) Custer of Greeneboro, NC, four grandchildren and five great grandchildren, siblings, Betty Johnson of Salem, D. Jane (Stanley) Lovett of Salineville, Wendell (Devina) Custer of Salem, James (Joyce) Custer of Hanoverton, and Paul (Connie) Custer of Salineville. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Linda Kaye (Dinsio) Custer, whom he married on October 14, 1968 and who died on February 26, 2014, siblings Virginia Custer, Roy Custer Jr., Charles Custer, Evelyn Toland and Doris Warner.
