Obituary

Edith Pearl (Hanna) Franklin 90, of Salem, died at 7:10 PM Tuesday at Salem Regional Medical Center. She was born on April 20, 1924 in New Springfield, Ohio, daughter of the late Walter R and Mary R (Sifert) Hanna. She has lived most of her life in the Salem area. She had been employed at Mullins Mfg., Sebring Container, Church Budget and from 1964 to 1987 assisted her husband in the operation of the family business, Franklin Cleaning. She is a member of the Salem First Christian Church and enjoyed gardening and flowers. She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Rodman Garth Franklin whom she married on July 21, 1946, their children, Richard L. (Connie) Franklin of Salem, Cindy (Robert) Komar of Cummings, Ga., four grandchildren and four great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by all her siblings, Hazel Chambers, Esther Zarlingo, Martha Blosser, Eugene, Clayton, Paul, and Charles Hanna. Services will be held on Saturday, March 14, 3 PM at the Arbaugh-Pearce-Greenisen & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services. The Rev. Leonard Moore will be officiating from the church.
