Edward Krauss 91, of Lisbon, ( a former Sharon, Pa. resident) died July 3, 2013 while visiting Guilford Lake, Hanover Twp., Hanoverton, ohio. Local services will be held on Sunday, July 14, 2013 at 1 PM at the Lisbon First United Methodist Church for Edward Krauss age 91. The Rev. Pam Gable will officiate the services. There is also a service being held on Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at 1 PM in the chapel of John Flynn Funeral Home where the burial will follow on the grounds of Hillcrest Memorial Park 2630 East State Street, Hermitage, Pa. He was born on October 26, 1921 in Sharon, Pa., the son of the late George and Katherine (Letzner) Krauss. He retired in 1983 as a Transformer Tester for the Westinghouse Electric Corporation in Sharon, Pa. for 41 years. He attended the Lisbon First United Methodist Church, and was an avid walker, dancer and bicyclist. He is survived by his care giver with whom he resided, Mabel Primm of Lisbon, his children, Edward George (Barbara Mathis) Krauss of Florissant, Missouri, Nancy Lee Krauss-Gallagher of Pasadena, California, a grand daughter Maura Rose Gallagher of Las Vegas, Nevada, his siblings, Walter Krauss of San Diego, California, and Paul (Alice) Krauss of Newark, Ohio, and numerous nieces and nephews throughout the eastern Ohio and Western Pennsylvania area. Ed was preceded in death by his siblings, Katherine Krauss Swenningson who was from Salem, George, Albert, Francis, William and Richard Krauss.
