Elinor O. "Ellie" (Olney) Wright 80, of Salem, died at 10:15 AM Saturday at Essex of Salem #2 following a short illness. Ellie was born on February 10, 1935 in Youngstown, Ohio, the daughter of the late William Hughes and Gladys (Knapp) Olney. She was known in the Salem area for the operation of Day Care by Ellie. She was formerly employed at Tiche Pie Company in Canfield, A & P Warehouse in the office in Youngstown, Ohio Machinery Company in Youngstown, Rickert Reality in Salem and Kids R Us in San Jose, Calif.. She was currently attending the Phillips Christian Church, and was a former member of the Salem Quota Club and the Columbiana County Board of Realtors, and a 1953 graduate of Canfield High School. She is survived by her children, Robert L. (Cindy) Wright of Salem, Scott S. Wright of Texas, Renae L. (James) Walker of Poland, and Lauren Wright of Texas, four grand children and seven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sister Carol A. Russell. A private graveside service will be held in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Youngstown, Ohio. Arrangements by the Arbaugh-Pearce-Greenisen & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services, Salem.
