Esther Winifred (Burbick) Shaw 95, of Salem (Formerly of Dungannon/Gavers area) died at 4:57 PM Monday, August 15, 2016 at Salem Regional Medical Center. She was born on June 22, 1921 in East Liverpool, Ohio, the daughter of William W. and Winifred B. (Frederick) Burbick. She retired from the Ohio Bureau of Workers Compensation office in Salem in the late 80"s. A former employee of the Carl Co. in Lisbon and National dry Cleaners in Salem. A 62 year member of the New Lebanon United Presbyterian Church in Hanoverton. Esther loved watching TV especially the Waltons. She is survived by her Daughter Lois Ann Shaw-Scharf of Canfield, Grandchildren, Rebecca (Tim) Chamberlain of Salem, Beth Baldwin of Lisbon, and Shawn (Jill) Scharf of Canfield, Great Grandchildren, Olivia Williamson, Laura and David Chamberlain, Son-in-law Ron Howe of Salem, her beloved tabby cat Cosma, ex inlaws J. David Scharf of East Rochester and Richard P. Baldwin of Lisbon and her special care giver Peggy Haggerty. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John F. Shaw on April 5, 1978 and who married on October 9, 1940, a daughter, Linda Sue (Shaw) Baldwin-Howe, siblings, Maude (Burbick) Adams, Florence Roseburg, Clarence, Elmer and Willis Burbick, and a grandson Timothy Scharf. A time of visitation will be observed on Friday from 1 to 2 PM at Arbaugh-Pearce-Greenisen & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services, the service will follow at 2 PM. Donna M. Todd and Joseph Hendricks C.P.R., of the church will be officiating with burial at Grove Hill Cemetery.
