Evelyn Mae (Roch) Smith 72, of Salem, died at 7:38 PM Sunday at Salem Regional Medical Center following complications of surgery. Evelyn was a loving Wife, Mother and Grandmother. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends. She was born on March 17, 1943 in Pittsburgh, Pa., the daughter of the late Joseph and Doris (Mangus) Roch Sr. Evelyn was a very hard worker and was employed at Blackhawk Industries in Salem in QC for 40 years, the last three years she was employed at Essex of Salem # 1. She loved bowling, and would not miss very many bowling tournaments. She loved to bowl at Timberlanes then the Hunt Club. She had served as league president, secretary, and kids league. Evelyn also enjoyed bingo and a good game of euchre. She is survived by her husband, Willard Leroy Smith, whom she married on August 12, 1961, her children, Linda Darlene (Jeffrey) Himes, Sharon Lee (Timothy) Bailey and Gloria Lynn (Kenneth) Pittman all of Salem, siblings, Patricia (Ray) Atkinson of Salem, Joseph Roch Jr. of Central City, Pa., three grandchildren, Travis (Danielle) Bailey, Robert and Tyler Pittman, and one great grandchild, Mikenna Folsom all of Salem. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister Marsha Roch. A Celebration of Life Service for Evelyn will be on Thursday, December 3, 2015, 11AM, at the ARBAUGH-PEARCE-GREENISEN & SONS Funeral and Cremation Services, Salem. The Pastor Matthew D. Kuttler will be officiating the services. The burial will follow at Highland Memorial Park, Beloit, Ohio.
