Franklin Foley Jr. 77, of Winona, passed peacefully at 6:10 AM on Monday, October 20, 2025, following a year long battle with cancer.

He was born April 29, 1948, in Sutton, West Virginia, the son of the late Coleridge and Freda (Frame) Foley.

He lived most of his life in the Akron area. He worked for the city of Akron from 1971-2001 as a street maintenance worker and from 2002-2020 in the parks and recreation department.

He is survived by his children; Frankie Foley of Salem and Shelly (Steven) Pruitt of Winona, grandchildren; Courtney (Jack Wells) Pruitt of Scio, Cole Pruitt of Winona, Aiden Foley of Salem, and Brandon Foley of Akron, his sisters; Betty Earlinbaugh of West Virginia and Barb (Marty) Johnson of Mogadore, as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his beautiful wife of 52 years, Peggy Foley, sister JoAnn Cutright, and his brothers; Gerald Foley and Russell Foley.
