Obituary

Gail Evan Holsinger 75, of East Rochester, died at 5:05 AM Tuesday, February 22, 2022, at his home.

He was born on December 2, 1946, in Salem, the son of the late Eugene and Laura (McDonald) Holsinger.

Gail has resided in various places in the area as well as the southern states. He had worked at Wean United and NRM prior to retirement. He was a machinist by trade and loved everything about it. A special thing over the years for him was to build and rebuild high-speed boat motors. He only ever had four boating accidents and one was quite big. It never stopped him from continuing on. In recent years, he developed a close bond with his grandson Alex. In carrying on conversations with him, many may have seen a cantankerous side of him but his "sweet spot" was about machining and engines. Gail did like to go to the Federation dinners and always needed to make sure he got the tickets.

He is survived by his son; Michael (Carrie) Holsinger, a brother Charles Holsinger, two grandchildren; Alex (Kelsey) Holsinger and Nicholas Holsinger, and his longtime friend and caregiver, Barbara Dale (Mohr) Pollock.

There will be no public services held at this time.

Arrangements by the Arbaugh-Pearce-Greenisen & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services, Salem.
