IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Gaye Ann
(Henry) Lindsay
May 16, 1952 – June 7, 2024
Gaye Ann (Henry) Lindsay 72, of Unity Twp./New Waterford, passed away on Friday morning, June 7, 2024, at her home following a six-month illness.
She was born on May 16, 1952, in Salem, one of three children (only daughter) to Paul R. and Dorothy Lou (Klaus) Henry.
She was a 1970 graduate of Springfield High School, and shortly after graduation married the love of her life Timothy C. Lindsay. She later went on to get her beautician's license. There was a time years ago when she operated her shop. Gaye Ann moved on in life, having a new family to raise, she opened Lindsay Floral in New Waterford, and she later went to work for Lemon Tree (numerous of their locations) Giant Eagle in Chippawa, and Flowers Straight from the Heart.
An active 40+ year member of the Abundant Life Church served as an Elder, worked the food pantry, helped with dinners, and anything else when needed. Gaye Ann was so blessed to have such a church family there to support her recently. She was all about "Jesus first, the center of your life"
Grandma will be fondly remembered for breakfast and popsicles, and there to cheer grandchildren on during sporting events. She tried to make special memories with them over the years.
The home will not be the same anymore, those beautiful flowers and gardens of hers, the smell of food being cooked, the canning season. The sounds of her laughter and carrying on while out on the patio having some coffee.
If you knew Gaye Ann, a favorite pastime was bargain hunting at garage sales and looking for other good deals. If the truth was told, she could have operated her own shop after finding all the good deals.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Timothy Charles Lindsay, her children; T. Jason (Kim) Lindsay, Angela (Jon) Hawkins, and Peter Lindsay, Brother; Gregory Henry, grandchildren; Autumn Lindsay, Charles (Anna Gorby) Lindsay, Joey and Max Hawkins all of New Waterford and Kaylee (Josh Sifford) Wess of North Carolina, and "Big Sis" Aunt Nancy Henry of Columbiana. She was at her side from a very young age, worked together, encourager and prayer warrior.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother Timothy Henry.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on June 22, 2024, at 11 AM, at the Abundant Life Church in New Waterford, with Pastor Jeff Schoch officiating. The family will receive friends and family IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING the service. (There will be no visitation prior to the services)
Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Arbaugh-Pearce-Greenisen & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services, Salem.
