(Hively) Weingart
February 27, 1928 – June 2, 2024
Geraldine Belle (Hively) Weingart 96, of Alliance, passed away at her home early Sunday morning, June 2, 2024.
She was born on February 27, 1928, in Salem, Ohio, the daughter of the late Walter S. and Vera B. (Daley) Hively.
Geraldine was a 1946 graduate of Goshen HS., she worked at Deming Pump, then went on to be co-owner operator with her husband of Weingart Implements. There was a point she worked at AAA. She and her husband owned a farm north of Salem, on Stratton Road, then after he passed away she moved to Calla Road, then the past 27 years she lived outside of Alliance. Geraldine was a member of the Church of God of the Abrahamic Faith for 71 years. she liked to travel, read, and do embroidery. The family gatherings were important to her. She had been in a card group and enjoyed playing cards. Geraldine was a huge fan of all of West Branch sports. She enjoyed going to plays and other theatrical productions.
Geraldine is survived by her children; David Walter (Lana) Weingart of Canefield, Rebecca Susan (Jeff) Wuthrick where she made her home of Alliance, and Barbara Joanne (Daniel) Walker of Salem, grandchildren; Carey (Jamie) Weingart, Jodie (Marc) Keck, Evan (Christine) Wuthrick, Abigail (Ernie) Kash, Katelyn (Jonny) Mumaw, Hailey Tucker, Aubery (Scott) Scheiner, Danielle (Mike) Cooper, and Jarred Walker, and her great-grandchildren; Colton, Judson, Maxon, and Weston Weingart, Brianne (Alex) Waggoner, Brandon Metts, Jackson, Benjamin, Christopher, Ashley, Peter, Andrew, Mary, Michael, and Catherine Wutrick, Alex, Eli, Edie, Ellie, and Zane Kash, Claire, Fletcher, and Mallory Mumaw, Emma Tucker, Mason and Lainey Scheiner, Landon, Caleb, and Noah Cooper.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death in 1971 by her husband Vernon R. Weingart.
Services will be held Thursday, June 6, 2024, at 12 PM, at Church of God of the Abrahamic Faith, 250 Georgetown Road Salem, Ohio 44460, with Elder Alan Robbins officiating. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery. The time of visitation will be 5-7 PM Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at Arbaugh-Pearce-Greenisen & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services, Salem, and one hour prior to the services at the church.
