Obituary

Harold Grant Scharf 94, of Sandusky, MI, died at 1:45 AM Friday in Sandusky.

He was born on August 7, 1925, in Detroit, MI, son of Harold Onies and Annebelle (Burgua) Scharf.

He retired in 1990, he was a Tree Trimmer for Wayne County for nearly 20 years and then did some factory maintenance work. He attends the Faith Holiness Church in Brown City, where he helped with the ministry and singing. Harold was very spiritual and enjoyed traveling around to church revivals and camp meetings. He was a private in the US Army during WW2. In his spare time, he enjoyed the beauty of nature and peacefully fishing.

He is survived by his children, Lois (John) Kennedy of Clinton Twp., Gary (Gail) Scharf of Dalton, GA, Deborah (Jack) Stowe of Florida, Timothy, Mark, and John (Lou Ann) Scharf all of Livonia, Ralph (Jodi) Scharf of Plymouth Twp. And Elizabeth (Randy) L'Hote of Clinton Twp., many grandchild, and great-grandchild, one great-great-grandchild, siblings; Norma Coffin of Placerville, CA, Lois Tulloch of Wallace, Ontario Canada, and Verda Mae Lindemann of Lompoc, CA.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret (Rich) Scharf whom he married in 1948 and who passed away in 1997, and a brother Wilford.
