Harry Lee Jackson 89, of Salem, died at 9:18 PM Monday at the Salem Regional Medical Center. He was born on February 16, 1924 in Salem, the son of the late Everett and Mary (Segedi) Jackson. He had been employed by the Superior Dairy (fka Purity Dairy), Eljers and Salem China. He served in the Army during WW2, served in Normandy, N. France, Rhineland, Ardennes, Central Europe and was awarded 5 Bronze Stars and a Purple Heart on July 9, 1944. He was a hard working man and always likes to keep busy. He liked the out doors cutting the grass, washing the car or watching the birds. He had a talent of working with wood working equipment. He is survived by his children, Shari Jackson of Alliance, Dennis Jackson of Columbus, Debbie Sanders of Salem, Sandy Snively of Salem, Diane (Brad) Ballantine of Worthington (Columbus) Ohio, and Doreen (Eric) Burk of Jupiter, Fla., siblings, Everett (Jerri) Jackson Jr, Walter Jackson and Billy (Jean) Jackson and Rose Parks of Fla., eight grandchildren and one great grand child. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Tillie C. Thomas Jackson. Services will be held on Thursday, 7 PM at the Arbaugh-Pearce-Greenisen & Sons Funeral Home. A time of gathering will be held at 6:30 Pm until the service and at the conclusion. The burial will be in Grandview Cemetery. Please go and sign the guestbook at www.apgreenisenfh.com
