Harry Edward Reisinger, 87, of Lisbon, died on Sunday, July 21, 2024, at Salem West Healthcare in Salem.
He was born January 10, 1937, in Lisbon, Ohio, the son of the late Ernest L. and Grace E. (Sisler) Reisinger.
Harry was a lifelong resident of the Lisbon area, he graduated from Lisbon High School in 1955. He joined the United States Navy in 1956 and was honorably discharged from service in 1959. Harry worked for Eljers Plumbing as a welder. He was an outgoing, fun-loving, jokester but also down to earth and always there for family or friends in need. Harry loved to be outdoors, walking in the woods, playing horse shoes, having bonfires, or relaxing having a cold beverage with friends. He also enjoyed playing online card games, shooting pool, and watching the Pittsburgh Steelers or Pittsburgh Pirates on tv. Family gatherings were a great joy to him because he got to spend time with his grand children and great grandchildren. Harry was a member of the Lisbon First United Methodist Church, Lisbon Frat. Ord. Eagles # 2216, and a life member of VFW Post 4144.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Stark Resinger whom he married on November 30, 1974, children; Joseph (Ann) Cusick of Little River, South Carolina, Christina (Tom) Reisinger-Hoover of Greenville, Pennsylvania, Michelle Stark-Miller of Canton, Ohio, and Angela Howe of Lisbon, Ohio, and by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his daughters Cheryl Reisinger and Cynthia Cole, siblings Ernest Reisinger, Dorothy Dunlap, and Grace Bothwell, and grand daughter Christy Cole.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 27, 2024 2:30 PM at the Arbaugh-Pearce-Greenisen & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services in Salem by the Salem Honor Guard at 3 PM and military honors. Burial will be in the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Rittman, Ohio. There will be a dinner at the Lisbon VFW Post 4111 immediately following the service for anyone who would like to join the family.
