Hellen Jean "Jeanie" (McKean) Taucher of Columbiana, OH (formerly of Hopewell Twp., Beaver County, PA) passed away Friday, June 9, 2023, at the age of 99 years 11 months, and 16 days, 2 weeks shy of turning 100.

She was born June 23, 1923, in Aliquippa, PA to the late James and Hellen (Gill) McKean.

Jeanie worked at J & L Steel Company during WWII, loading steel onto railroad cars for the government. She was a member of the Methodist Church in Aliquippa where she taught Sunday school classes for over 50 years. She was also a member of the Order of Eastern Star Woodlawn Chapter # 164 for over 75 years.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Joseph Walter McKean, SR and her beloved grandson, Joseph (JJ) James Stepo III.

She is survived by her husband of 76 years, Melvin Paul Taucher, 3 daughters, Karen (Joe) Stepo, Laurel Levanduski and Sherry Kuebel, 2 granddaughters, Maurriah and Vanessa Kuebel, a granddaughter-in-law Karen Stepo, 3 great-grandchildren, Alysia (Stevie) Cappitte and Nick & Maggie Stepo, and 3 great-great grandchildren, Adrianna, Cameron and Skylar Cappitte. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Per her request, there will be no calling hours or funeral service. A private service will be held for family members at a later date.
