Obituary
J. (James) Mark Cross 80, of Salem, died Monday, March 11, 2019, at his home in Salem, Ohio.
He was born September 11, 1938 in Wooster, OH, the son of the late James and Elizabeth Cross.
James Mark worked for the family business of Cross Oil in Salem until its closing. He graduated from the College of William and Mary in Virginia and served in the United States Army. He attended St. Paul's Catholic Church, enjoyed traveling to historic areas, boating and reading about economics.
James Mark is survived by several cousins and various friends.
A private family burial was held this morning in Grandview Cemetery. The Salem Honor Guard rendered military honors, followed by a service by Rev. Fr. Robert Edwards.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Columbiana County, 1825 S. Lincoln Ave., Salem, Ohio 44460.
Arrangements were entrusted to the care of the Arbaugh-Pearce-Greenisen & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services, Salem.
