James Melvin Dies, 80, of Perry Twp., Salem, OH, passed away at his home on Saturday, February 12, 2022.

He was born on May 22, 1941, in Indiana County, PA, to his late parents; Melvin and Anna may (Grindle) Dies.

James was protestant by faith. He was employed as a truck driver, but also did various other jobs such as working as an apartment manager and in the field of construction.

He is survived by his children; Timothy Dies of Salem, Tammy (Donald) Harton of Burlington, NC, Tracy (George) Dilling of Salem, step-son; Roy Blythe of Cambridge, OH, 6 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, siblings; William (Pat) Dies of Alliance, Leona (Lou) Maney of PA, Jeanie (Tom) Toscana of WV, Karen Gustley of PA.

In addition to his parents, James is preceded in death by a wife; Sherry (Blythe) Dies, siblings; Webb Dies, Wanda Kary, Nancy Pollen, and Ralph Dies.

There will be no services at this time.
