James Stewart Joy 73, passed peacefully on February 2, 2018. He was born on May 20, 1944, in Salem, Ohio to the late Harold Joy and Beatrice (Needham) Joy.
He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Cathy Joy and his blended family: daughters, Roberta (Paul) Knopp of Damascus and Jenny (Jason) Clark of Pickerington; Sons, James Joy of Wasilla, Alaska, and Michael (Cencia) Moore Jr. of Salem; and 14 grandchildren.
He was a member of the Salem First Friends Church and Agape ABF. His most recited extract from the Bible "Don't worry about anything, pray about everything." An active member and advocate of AA since 1982. He had fromerly worked at NRM for 17 years until retirement and was a US Army Veteran.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
