James Raneri Jr., 82, of New Waterford, died at 3:40 AM on Thursday, July 18, 2024, at Mercy Health / St. Elizabeth Boardman.

He was born July 30, 1941, in East Fairfield, Ohio, the son of the late James and Louise (Lemon) Raneri Sr.

James was a lifetime area resident and a independent truck driver. He was a wonderful mechanic and wrenched on autos and his truck. He loved passing the time by going for rides to visit with his family and spending meaningful time with his children and great grandchilren. It was not uncommon to find some of those rides ended at the Rogers Sale or another good flea market.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Beverly Jean (Coffman) Raneri, whom he married June 22, 1963, his children; James Raneri III of Lisbon, Barbara (Mike) Smith of Myrtle Beach, SC, Charlotte Baker of Salem, Diane Raneri of New Waterford, step-children Sandy Jones and Vicky Allmon, siblings; Joseph Raneri of Columbiana, Sal Raneri of West Point, Jack Raneri of East Liverpool, Alpino (Teri) Raneri of Cleveland, Harry (Sue) Raneri of Columbus, Christine Price of Guilford Lake, Ann Raneri of Salem, Gertrude (Larry) Bower of Minerva, two step siblings, numerous grandchildren, and many great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his siblings, Carmon, Frank, and Theresa Raneri.

It was Jims' wishes to not have any services held.

Arrangements were entrusted to the care of the Greenisen family at the Arbaugh-Pearce-Greenisen & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services of Salem.
