James Roy Wilson, 80, of Fairfield Twp, (Columbiana) OH, passed away at 4:22 p.m., on Friday, December 3, 2021, at Aultman Hospital.
James was born on June 30, 1941, in Youngstown, OH, he was the son to his late parents; Jack and Anna (Sinclair) Wilson.
He was a 1959 graduate of Darlington High School in PA. James was a member of the United States Air Force from August, 1963 until his release from active duty in June of 1967. He served during the Vietnam War during his time in the service. On July 27, 1968 he married Kera Lee (Tincani) Wilson and together they built a beautiful life together that spanned more than a half a century. They celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary this past summer, raised 2 wonderful children, and were blessed with 4 grandchildren. James attended Robert Morris College, as well as, California State University, San Bernardino where he received his BS in Business Administration in 1972. James was Catholic by faith. Over the course of his life, James was employed as a Purchasing Agent for several businesses. From 1977 until his retirement in 2005, he was a Purchasing Agent for the East Fairfield Coal Company located in North Lima, OH. James was an avid golfer and a member of the Salem Golf Club since 1988. He enjoyed their winter home in Florida and the many golf courses there. In addition to golfing, James was a member of several bowling leagues and enjoyed the thrill of bowling 2 perfect games of 300. He had many other hobbies and interests to fill his days such as, cooking and making pepper butter. He was a Steelers and Penguins fan through and through. Any time he could get together with friends was a good time. James favorite thing to do however, was to spend time with his grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, James is survived by his children; Jennifer (Brett) Hanzlicek of Hudson, Jeffrey (Anne) Wilson of Peachtree City, GA, grandchildren; Alexander, Gabrielle, Megan, Abigail.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother; Jack Wilson.
There will be no services.
