Janet Kay (Roberts) Seddon 57, of Salem, died at 9:15 AM Friday, October 27, 2017 at her home surrounded by her family.

Janet was born on October 3, 1960, one of nine children of the late Harry Hastings and Virginia May (Stout) Roberts.

Janet was a home maker, but for a time in her life she had worked at various grocery stores (Lawson's, Jay's and Giant Eagle) in Salem. She was a very good mother and dearly loved all her children. Janet liked to be outdoors and work in her garden, do cross stitching and reading. The single one thing she loved most was shopping.

Janet married the love of her life on July 8, 1983, John Edward Seddon III. They have enjoyed 34 years of life together and raising their six children and spoiling five grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Linda Quinn, Tracy West, John Seddon IV, Brandon (Trisha) Seddon and Sarah Seddon all of Salem and Carrie (Kyle) Steiner of Stow, five grandchildren, six siblings, John Roberts of N.C., Jean Ann (James) Harris of Fla., Barbara Miller of Wellsville, Nancy Webb, Scott (Mary) Roberts and Don Roberts all of Salem.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Gerald (Jerry) and James Roberts.

A Celebration of Life Services will be observed on Monday, October 30, 2 PM at the Arbaugh-Pearce-Greenisen & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services, Salem. The Rev. Terry B. Kirsch will be officiating and the burial will be in Grandview Cemetery immediately following the services.

A time of Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services on Monday afternoon.

The family has requested that memorial donations be sent to POB 113, Salem, Ohio 44460-0113, to help with the expenses of the funeral.
