Jason Edward Maenz 55, of Salem, passed away at his home on Wednesday, August 27, 2025.

He was born on June 4, 1970, in Salem, Ohio, the son of Ernest Joseph Maenz and Kitty (Delfavero) McDevitt.

Jason was a 1988 graduate of Salem High School, he was a previous member of the Amvets, VFW, and the Hose Club and cherished spending time with his friends at the clubs. He enjoyed the outdoors; spending time hunting, fishing, and being with his best bud, Princess Jada the Basset Hound.

He is survived by his parents, and stepmother Diane Maenz, his children; Abbie Maenz and Jacob (Haley) Maenz all of Salem, siblings; Steve (Lori) Maenz of Stafford, Virginia, Debbie Dunleavy of Sanford, Florida, step sister Lori (Doug) Grimm of Sumter, South Carolina, and his Bassett Hound Jada.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents; Rudy and Olga Delfavero, Edward and Bernetta Maenz, stepfather Walter McDevitt and his best buddy Spanky.

A time of visitation for family and friends will be on Saturday, September 6, 2025, 2-4 PM, at Arbaugh-Pearce-Greenisen & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services, Salem.
