Jeanette Marie Hughes 58, of Lisbon, died at 6:18 PM Wednesday, July 3, 2024, in the emergency room of Mercy Health St. Elizabeth Hospital, Boardman.

She was born on November 1, 1965, in Indiana, PA, the daughter of Loretta J. (Pounds) Hughes and the late Thomas Hughes.

She was currently employed at Ventra-Salem since August, 2005. She loved being a grandmother and spending time with her grandchildren. Jeanette was a very easy going person, enjoyed her dogs, listening to country music, and playing on the cell phone. Whenever she was able, you would find her out mowing the yard and being in the great outdoors. She liked to travel around to fairs, firework displays, going to Marietta, OH, and most recently seeing the Loretta Lynn Ranch. Jeanette was known by the family for her large collection of dolls and stuffed animals.

She is survived by a daughter, Nola (Jessy) Castelucci of Salem, her longtime companion Roger Freeman of Lisbon, her mother, sisters Valerie Bolen and Jennifer Saxon all of Beaver Falls, PA, as well as five grandchildren.

A celebration of life gathering will be on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, 2-4 PM at the Arbaugh-Pearce-Greenisen & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services, Salem. She will be buried in Woodlawn Cemetery in Aliquippa, PA.
