Jeany Lynn
Hutcheson
d. May 6, 2026
Jeany Lynn Hutcheson (Jeany Lynn Dilling), a woman whose heart was as big as her smile and whose spirit was as warm as a fresh-baked batch of cookies, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at UPMC Montefiore in Pittsburgh. Born on November 12, 1959, in Salem, Ohio, Jeany spent 66 years filling the lives of those around her with laughter, kindness, and a steady, nurturing love that served as an anchor for her family.
Throughout her life, Jeany was known for her hardworking nature and her friendly presence. She spent many years as a dedicated employee at Envelope One in Columbiana, where she formed lasting friendships with her colleagues. Outside of work, she was a woman who found true magic in the simple things. Whether she was casting a line into the water during a quiet morning of fishing or sitting around a glowing campfire sharing stories under the stars, she was happiest when surrounded by nature and those she held dear. Her kitchen was often the heart of the home, where the sweet scent of her baking acted as an open invitation for family to gather, talk, and stay a while. To Jeany, time spent with family wasn't just a priority; it was her greatest joy and her life’s most beautiful work.
Her legacy of love lives on through her devoted family. She is survived by her mother, Anna (Richards) Hutcheson Carlisle of Lisbon, and her beloved husband, Jesse Dilling of Lisbon, who walked through life by her side. Her memory will be cherished by her sons, Eric Mcfarland of East Liverpool and Clifford Mcfarland of Leetonia, who were the pride of her life. She also leaves behind her siblings, including her brother Clifford Hutcheson Jr. of Lisbon, her sister Victoria Mellott of Lisbon, and her brother Ralph Richards of Iowa. Jeany was preceded in death by her father, Clifford Hutcheson Sr., with whom she is now peacefully reunited.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate a life beautifully lived during a time of visitation from 1-2 PM on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at Arbaugh-Pearce-Greenisen & Sons Funeral & Cremation Services of Salem. A funeral service will follow at 2 PM with Reverend John Ryser officiating. Jeany’s warmth, her gentle nature, and the light she brought into every room will be deeply missed but never forgotten by all who were lucky enough to know her.
