Jeffrey Von Schindler, 69, of Salem, passed away at 11:47 AM on Monday, September 25, 2023 at Salem Regional Medical Center.

He was born July 2, 1954, in Salem, the son of the late Roger and June (Cantwell) Schindler.

Jeffrey was a 1972 graduate of South Range High School. He worked as a machinist at Circle Machine in Sebring. He liked to describe himself as a "Husband, Father, PaPa and a Grateful Dead Fan". Jeffrey was a life long Deadhead, as the devoted fans are commonly referred. He enjoyed taking his kids to track and baseball events when they were younger. He was often found tinkering with things or fixing and building things. Jeffrey was a story teller, he was fond of fishing, hiking, being outside, and he loved riding his BMW Motorcycle.

He is survived by his wife, Mary (Mastronarde) Schindler, whom he married on November 5, 1982, his son Jeffrey (Danielle) Schindler of Parma, his daughter Sarah Schindler of CA, and his daughter Pamela Schindler of Salem, his brother Roger Schindler, and three grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters June Stephenson and Mary Williams.

There will be no services at this time.
