8John Wayne "Johnny" Lagore Sr, 63 of Salem, died at 1:23 AM Saturday, December 30, 2017 at Salem Regional Medical Center.

He was born on February 24, 1954 in Columbus, Ohio, the son of the late William J. and Grace P. (Huffer) Lagore.

He was currently employed at the Salem News, a former maintenance manager at Lincoln Place Apartments, a tow truck operator and worked at area auto dealerships. He served in the US Marine Corp.

He was known to travel to flea markets and help his wife sell crafts. John loved to be outdoors and plant a garden. In his spare time he like to collect and build model cars and play on his guitar.

He is survived by his children, John W. Lagore Jr of Youngstown and Brandy Lagore of Alliance and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death on November 20, 2011 by his wife, the former Virginia Jean Callahan.

Services will be held on Thursday, January 11, 2018 at 2 PM, Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Seville, Ohio. The US Marine Corp. will offer the honors.
