Joshua Scott Messenger 30, of Salem, died Saturday morning, September 11, 2021.

He was born on August 17, 1991, in Green Bay, Wis., the son of Jeffrey G. and Sandra L. (Scott) Messenger.

Joshua had attended Columbiana and Buckeye Local (Steubenville) Schools. He had worked at various places in the area.

He was a typical young man and enjoyed living life to the fullest. Joshua loved spending time with his friends and family, he was particularly close with his nieces and nephews whom he loved to joke and play with daily, but of course, he loved chasing all the girls too. It was not uncommon to find him out on the four-wheeler, fishing, and hunting when time permitted. More than anything he cared about others and would help anyone that needed it every chance he had.

In addition to his parents of Salem, he is survived by his sisters Jessica Lynn Lasater and Ashley Marie Messenger of Salem, paternal grandparents, Ronald and Mary (King) Messenger of Michigan.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, James W. and Edith (Little) Scott.

A time of visitation for family and friends will be on Saturday, September 18, 2021, 3-5 PM at the Arbaugh-Pearce-Greenisen & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services, Salem.
