Joyce Ann (Leibhart) Rhodes, 75 of Green Twp., Canfield died peacefully at her home with all her family by her side at 11:30AM Wednesday, July 8, 2015. She was born on October 18, 1939 in Salem, Ohio, the daughter of the late Michael and Arline (Davis) Leibhart. She was last employed by Lowry Tool and Die and also worked at Eljers Mfg. She was a very active member of the Greenford Christian Church where she volunteered in the office, taught the preschool children for many years, and also helped with other administrative tasks. She was a 1957 graduate of Salem High School and served on the 40th reunion committee. She was a former den mother to Cub Scout #116. Her love of Cleveland Indian Baseball took her to Goodyear, Arizona every year to watch them at spring training camp. As an Indian's fan she knew the phrase, "there is always next year." She loved to travel both internationally and domestically. She liked to eat out at different restaurants. She also enjoyed watching TV game and murder mystery shows such as "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire" and "Murder She Wrote". An avid Scrabble player, she also enjoyed playing cards with her women's and couples clubs, along with completing the daily jumble word game in the newspaper. Her home was always open to hosting missionaries and other visitors. She dearly loved her family and loved to attend and watch all of her children and grandchildren's school functions. She is survived by her husband, Bruce Sr, children, Pamela(Robert) Lassiter of Providence Forge, VA., Bruce (Mary) Rhodes, Jr, Theresa (Jeff) Depp and Dennis (Melisa) Rhodes of Canfield, siblings, Marilyn Rau of Salida, CO., Shirley Handwork of Salem, eight grandchildren and one great grandchild. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother Wayne Leibhart. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11AM on Saturday at the Greenford Christian Church. The burial will immediately follow at Hope Cemetery in Salem. A time of visitation will be held on Friday at the church in Building D from 4-7PM and Saturday from 10 to 11AM. Please sign the guestbook at www.apgreenisenfh.com. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of the Arbaugh-Pearce-Greenisen & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Disciple Makers, Inc., 4393 Boron Dr. Latonia, KY., 41015, to help operate internet training centers for pastors in the 10/40 window (mark in memo, ITC - Joyce Rhodes).
